Remote Mechanical Engineer Expert - AI Trainer ($90-$90 per hour)

About the Role We're looking for experienced mechanical engineers to join a high-impact quality assurance and review initiative focused on advancing technical content across engineering domains. In this role, you'll apply your domain expertise to evaluate, validate, and improve the accuracy and rigor of mechanical engineering material ensuring it meets the highest standards of correctness and clarity. This is a flexible, remote engagement well-suited to practicing engineers, researchers, and recent graduates with strong fundamentals who want to apply their knowledge in a meaningful, intellectually engaging way. What You'll Do Review technical problems, solutions, and explanations within mechanical engineering for accuracy, completeness, and methodological soundness. Identify errors, ambiguities, or gaps in reasoning and provide clear, well-justified feedback. Apply consistent evaluation standards across a range of mechanical engineering subdomains (e.g., statics and dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, mechanics of materials, machine design). Calibrate your judgments against established quality benchmarks to ensure consistency and reliability. Contribute to maintaining a high bar for technical quality across the body of work you review. What We're Looking For A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field (Bachelor's required; Master's or PhD a plus). Strong command of core mechanical engineering fundamentals and the ability to work problems rigorously from first principles. Sharp attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle technical errors. Clear written communication and the ability to articulate why something is correct or incorrect. Comfort working independently and applying structured evaluation criteria consistently.
