About the Position

Registered Nurse I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours (08:00 - 17:00) Experience: Minimum 1 full year of Adult Home Health Experience or 1 full year of Hospice experience, depending on the specialty License: Must have license in hand Certifications: CPR, BLS Must-Have: Proficiency in HomeCare HomeBase and Oasis within the last 6 months Description: Provides, coordinates, and directs the provision of home nursing care according to physician orders. Care is based on agency policies and procedures through the competent application of the nursing process. Responsible to the Clinical Manager. Directly supervises and evaluates Home Health Aides and Licensed Practical Nurses/Licensed Vocational Nurses. Degree of travel includes home visits and periodic office meetings. Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and agency-required liability insurance. Average number of patients per day is 5-8. Contractor will be assigned between 5-10 patients per day equating to roughly 6-8 points. No guaranteed hours; if unable to meet financial needs due to low patient census, please discuss floating to a nearby clinic for additional hours. Types of cases include Start of Care, Wound Care, Follow-Up Visits, and others. First-timers are not accepted; recent specialty experience is required. Weekend requirements vary by location and profession. On-call requirements vary by location and profession. Territory mileage radius: must be willing to travel up to 75 miles from the home clinic. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS standard rate. Candidates must be open to traveling and rotating on-call schedules. All documentation must be completed within 24 hours of the appointment. Delayed and incomplete documentation that affects billing and follow-up patient care may result in cancellation of the contract. Must be open to accepting all patients on the schedule, regardless of distance from the previous appointment. Local candidates accepted at the same rate. Candidates cannot currently be a direct employee of any partner location if applying as a traveler.
