About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: AM Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 18 months in specialty within the past 3 years License: GA or compact license required Certifications: ACLS required Must-Have: Vent experience not required, LVAD training will be provided Description: This unit operates like an ICU but is considered an advanced PCU due to the patient ratios. Patients include 24-hour post-CABG cardiac surgery cases with chest tubes. The typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 or 1:5. Candidates must have ACLS certification. LVAD experience is not required, as training will be provided.
