Details Float pool position covering multiple ICU units such as Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery, along with IMC/Progressive/General care populations Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 1900-0730 Every other weekend and some holiday coverage required Floating required as needed across various ICU units Epic EMR system used Requirements Active WI RN license or compact RN license required BLS and ACLS certification (AHA only) required NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty 5 years of overall nursing experience required Epic EMR experience required, ideally within the past 12 months Experience in an academic Level I trauma center required Charge nurse experience preferred Teaching hospital experience preferred Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line, central line, and PICC line management Experience with ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and ABG interpretation Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, and CVP monitoring Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and IV insulin protocols Skilled in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias Experience managing neuro patients including EVD, ICP monitoring, and stroke care Must pass a telemetry certification exam prior to starting the assignment, with strict passing criteria for both adult and pediatric rhythm interpretation Additional Information Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties within an academic Level I trauma center Work at a Magnet-designated teaching hospital ranked the 1 hospital in Wisconsin Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted Telemetry exam allows two attempts to pass; a third attempt requires completion of a cardiac interpretation review course Travel experience in an academic Level I trauma center required American Traveler Job ID P-748618.
