We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented home health aide/personal care assistant to provide supportive in-home care services in Yonkers, NY. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Urdu and able to communicate effectively with a client who prefers support in that language. This role is focused on promoting comfort, dignity, safety, and daily well-being in a respectful home environment.
Responsibilities- Provide assistance with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support as needed
- Offer companionship and emotional support in a respectful and professional manner
- Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and organized living space
- Support meal preparation and encourage proper nutrition and hydration
- Help with mobility, transfers, and safe movement around the home as appropriate
- Provide reminders for medications, appointments, and daily routines, when permitted
- Observe and report any changes in condition, needs, or concerns to the appropriate contact
- Follow care instructions and maintain accurate communication with the family or care team
- Respect client privacy, preferences, and cultural considerations at all times
- Fluency in Urdu is required
- Prior experience as a home health aide, personal care assistant, or similar caregiver role preferred
- Ability to provide patient, respectful, and reliable support
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and maintain confidentiality
- Dependable transportation and punctuality
- Ability to perform the physical duties associated with in-home caregiving
- Current certification or training as a home health aide or personal care assistant is a plus, if applicable
- A supportive and respectful work environment
