The role will follow instructions from blueprints, bill of materials (BOM), schematics, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID). The role will follow procedures to set up and run quality checks on various wiring harnesses. The Electrical Technician II will perform independent project tasks and collaborate with customers and team members.As an Electrical Technician II, you will:Assemble, install, perform functional and safety tests and reverse engineer on wiring using hand tools and proper assembly techniques by following work instructions (prints, cut sheets, sample harnesses)Install lights, brackets, and electrical hardware to special test boxes, automotive components, and vehicles according to specificationsTest wiring and components for correct operation using a schematic and diagnostic equipmentPerform wiring reworks and repairs on bench and vehicle, crimp and solder, de-pin terminal, create basic schematics and reverse engineer harnessesKeep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairsParticipate in daily shop organization and clean-upTo be considered as a Electrical Technician II, you will need:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 4 years of electrical work experienceMechanical aptitude with basic understanding of automotive systems and ability to crimp and solder wires.Proficiency in hand and power tools and able to operate vehicle liftsProficiency in electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand electronic schematics and electronic part documentationEffective written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of MS Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook.A successful candidate may also have:Certificate in Automotive Electrical Technology or relatedValid driver's licenseExperience installing components on circuit boardsExperience with automotive powertrain systems or electric battery systemsBroad knowledge of vehicle systems (powertrain, chassis, electrical, thermal, exteriors, interiors, etc.) and related components, component materials & fastenersAbility to work overtime as needed including weekendsIf you share our passion for providing innovative solutions to complex challenges, we want you on our team.
