Position Summary

Responsible for doing multiple set ups per shift and machining weldments, block work of all sizes, Flame/grind plates, pins, etc. in a timely manner, while maintaining exceptional quality.

Job Responsibilities

• Independently set-up and operate 5 axis CNC machine, to machine parts per print efficiently and accurately
• Inspects work for conformance to specifications
• Maintain little to no re-work or scrap
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes
• Maintains satisfactory attendance and punctuality record
• Keep work area clean and organized
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Experience and Skills

5-7 years minimum experience as a machinist

Prior experience setting up and operating HAAS VMC's and Mazak Lathes

High attention to detail and quality

A good knowledge base and understanding of M and G code Mazatrol programming experience a plus

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Understand basic GD&T callouts

Ability to accurately use standard measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauge, etc.)

Ability to setup and run "one-off" parts to print efficiently and accurately

Must work well under pressure

Excellent team player with organizational and time management skills

Nonessential Skills and Experience

Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) standards. Environmental, Health and Safety

Understand the Company's EH&S Policy and how it relates to this job; Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job; Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EH&S procedures; Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EH&S procedures; and Attend required EH&S training.
