Trillium Construction is now hiring in Tracy, CA and Sacramento, CA! Our client specializes in commercial solar and they are now hiring for Project Engineers for projects in Tracy and Sacramento! This is a direct hire opportunity with a salary between $85K and $100K working full time on the project site.

Core Responsibilities

• Document Control & Coordination
  • Manage RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and shop drawings.
  • Ensure design documents are properly distributed and tracked.
  • Maintain project logs and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Technical Support
  • Interpret plans and specifications for the field team.
  • Assist in resolving design or constructability issues.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors on technical details.
• Scheduling & Procurement
  • Help track material deliveries and lead times.
  • Support procurement by preparing purchase orders or verifying vendor compliance.
• Quality & Safety
  • Monitor quality assurance processes.
  • Assist with safety documentation and compliance reporting.
• Cost & Change Management
  • Prepare cost estimates for change orders.
  • Track quantities and assist with progress billing.

Position in the GC's Structure · Reports to the Project Manager (PM) or Senior Project Engineer. · Works closely with Superintendents in the field and subcontractors. · Acts as a liaison between office and field operations.

Key Skills · Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications. · Proficiency in project management software (Procore, Smartsheet, etc.). · Communication and organizational skills.
