Job Summary: Kaiser-Permanente Northwest-- Oregon and SW Washington, is seeking a-Doctorally prepared, advanced practice provider, Nursing Scientist-at the rank of Research Investigator II (equivalent to Associate Professor). Salary support for the-position is-fully-funded-and is not reliant on-extramural-grant funding.-The position will have a joint appointment with solid reporting to Nursing and Patient Care Services to the Regional Director of Nursing Professional Practice, Research, and Innovation, reporting to the Regional Chief Nurse Executive, Systems & Strategy and dotted reporting to the-Center for Health Research-to the VP for Health Research.--This-exciting-new-role is a unique opportunity for a well-qualified-and experienced-nursing-scientist-who has a demonstrated-track record-of securing-extramural-research funding, leading studies as a principal investigator, and publishing research findings.-The-role will-be responsible for an independent portfolio of internally and-extramurally-funded-research-as principal investigator and will support KPNW-s future Magnet designation efforts across all care delivery settings supporting (2 Hospitals, Ambulatory, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Care Continuum, Regional Advice Nurse Services, and Dentistry). There is a total of 3 Magnet applications, which require 2 completed research studies and 1 in-process, for each application (ongoing). The role is also responsible for leading the regions' clinical inquiry, evidence-based practice, and creation and providing education regarding research, clinical inquiry, and evidence-based practice locally and partnership with National Kaiser Permanente. Doctoral degree in Health Services, Public Health, Community Health, Health Education, Social/Behavioral Science, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacy or directly related scientific field related to health research AND Minimum four (4) years of experience in a scientific field related to health or health services research and/or evaluation or a directly related field. Minimum three (3) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports. Preferred Qualifications: Eight (8) years of experience performing analytical techniques on a research project(s). Served as an author (lead author, co-author, contributor) on published research products (e.g., journal articles, books, public entity reports, policy briefs, evidence-based reviews, white papers, clinical guidelines).
