Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) We are seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the MQ-25 team in Mascoutah, IL . Ideal Candidate Profile: A solid foundational knowledge of mechanical competencies including mechanic machine repair, maintenance mechanic all‑around, mechanic automotive, and facility maintenance. Position Responsibilities Assist in maintaining aviation ground support equipment. Perform daily inspections and complete associated paperwork. Maintain the maintenance periodic inspection plan and perform tasks accordingly. Assist in maintaining, rebuilding, repairing, servicing, assembling, diagnosing, and correcting malfunctions in automotive and transportation equipment, battery‑operated motive equipment, cleaning equipment (floor scrubbers), and internal combustion engines. Maintain facility cleanliness using powered and un‑powered cleaning equipment. Assist in maintaining inventory control of the automotive fleet of trucks. Operate and maintain inspection of the fleet. Assist in maintaining inventory control of support equipment and maintain the support equipment facility. Assist in planning and performing unusual and difficult work where standard or recognized inspection methods may not be available. Apply judgment to fit and adjust parts and assemblies to meet requirements and specifications. Perform complex operations requiring considerable judgment where standard methods may not be available. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate must work onsite at the listed location. Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post‑start is required. Basic Qualifications 1+ years of experience in Production Equipment Maintenance. 1+ years of experience in Ground Support Equipment Maintenance. 1+ years of experience working independently with minimal supervision. Preferred Qualifications Experience specific to Ground Support Equipment (GSE). Forklift Certified. Additional Information This is a union‑represented position. This is an hourly position governed by the International Association of Machinist (IAM 837) Collective Bargaining Agreement. The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned. New hires and employees who transfer from non‑union positions may be required to attend training upon start. Upon completion, employees are considered on probation for 120 calendar days. Continued employment is contingent upon successful completion of the probationary period. Shift The employee must be able to work any shift assigned. Relocation Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
