Windows System Administrator

Systems AdministratorThis is a 6+ months contract position.Position: Systems AdministratorLocation: Providence, RI (On-site)Duration: 6+ months contractPrimary Duties And ResponsibilitiesInstall, update, upgrade and troubleshoot data center hardware, VMware hypervisors, Microsoft Windows operating systems, applications, and system software.Perform system administration corrective, preventive, and pro-active tasks to ensure all systems operate optimally.Manage system and network services including DNS, DHCP, print servers, malware protection and data backup services.Assist in maintaining server and storage infrastructure security.Troubleshooting any data center infrastructure related issues, and any client-server issues.Coordinate with vendor service personnel during installation, upgrade, repairs and other maintenance of data center facilities.Qualifications And ExperiencesAt least two (4) years of demonstrated experience with maintaining enterprise data center compute and storage infrastructureAt least three (5) years of demonstrated experience with deploying and maintaining Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and higher.At least three (3) years of demonstrated experience with deploying and maintaining VMware vSphere/ESXi 6.7 and/or 7.xDemonstrated experience with securing Windows Server and VMware vSphere/ESXiExperience with vulnerability assessment and management of firmware, operating systems, appliances, and applications.Requirements:Work primarily on-site (partially work remotely can be an option)Function independently or as a member of a team as assigned.Being able to work flexible hours as work required during workdays (Monday through Friday)Being available for emergency call-in during weekends and holidays, either on-site or remotely depending on the type and severity of the emergency.
