Electrical Service Operations Manager

$100–$130,000 base salary, depending on experience Annual performance bonus Company vehicle THE OPPORTUNITY: An established commercial electrical contractor is seeking an experienced leader to oversee and expand its Austin-area service operation. This position will lead the field service team and take ownership of day-to-day execution, customer satisfaction, workforce productivity, and department performance. The right candidate will bring strong commercial electrical knowledge, experience managing electricians or service technicians, and the ability to build lasting customer relationships. KEY RESPONSBILITIES: Lead commercial electrical service operations Manage electricians, technicians, and service support staff Coordinate scheduling, dispatch, and emergency service needs Improve technician utilization, response times, and productivity Maintain relationships with commercial customers Support service sales, recurring work, and customer retention Review estimates, pricing, labor costs, and job profitability Monitor department budgets, margins, and operating performance Develop employees and participate in hiring decisions Ensure work meets NEC, OSHA, licensing, and safety requirements Coordinate vehicles, tools, equipment, materials, and vendors Identify process improvements that support continued growth QUALIFICATIONS: 7+ years of commercial electrical service or construction experience 3+ years leading electricians, technicians, or field personnel Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and service work Experience with scheduling, dispatch, and workforce planning Customer-facing experience within commercial service environments Exposure to estimating, pricing, labor efficiency, budgets, or P&L Working knowledge of NEC and OSHA requirements OSHA 30 certification Valid driver’s license PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Growing service revenue or recurring customer accounts Service agreements or preventive-maintenance programs Journeyman or Master Electrician license Existing relationships within the Austin commercial market SCHEDULE This is a full-time, on-site leadership position.
