Stroke Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA)

A well-established, not-for-profit healthcare system in the Renton, Washington area is actively seeking a full-time Stroke Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its comprehensive stroke and neuroscience program. This is a collaborative, patient-centered environment with strong neurology, neurosurgery, and critical care support.

The organization participates in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program.

Position Overview

Provide inpatient stroke care in collaboration with neurologists and neurosurgery teams Evaluate and manage acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke patients Participate in stroke alerts and rapid response evaluations Manage post-thrombolysis and post-thrombectomy patients Coordinate care transitions, discharge planning, and secondary stroke prevention Provide patient and family education regarding risk factor modification and recovery Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and care coordination Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stroke program development

Qualifications

Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Washington State license (or eligible) Board Certified (FNP, AGNP, ACNP, or NCCPA certified) Active/Eligible DEA registration Stroke, neurology, or critical care experience preferred Strong clinical judgment and ability to work collaboratively in acute care settings
