CT Technologist

Schedule

Monday - Thursday; M/R 11 am - 11:30 pm; T/W 3 pm - 11:30 pm (2, 12-hour shifts and 2, 8-hour shifts). On call with 2-3 call shifts per month.

Requirements

• Current NYS registration required with injection therapy certification on license at time of submission.
• Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology, maintains Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position).
• Two years of experience.
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience.
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY).
• Telemetry experience.

Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, adhering to department policies for patient safety.
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging.
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to help them feel comfortable.
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test.
• Position patients safely, utilizing safe patient handling techniques.
• Maintain accurate patient records by documenting necessary components within the electronic medical record system.
• Ensure a clean and safe scanning facility.
