Senior Platform Engineer

To enhance the observability and incident response capabilities, the full-time Senior Platform Engineer will architect and implement a modern observability stack while working remotely, focusing on logging, metrics, and tracing patterns that support the entire engineering organization. Key Responsibilities Design and deploy a scalable logging, metrics, and APM stack while establishing best practices for agent configuration Evaluate and select incident management platforms, develop alerting policies, and create runbooks for incident response Automate manual tasks in incident response, build self-service tools, and codify monitoring as infrastructure Required Qualifications 5+ years in SRE, platform engineering, or a similar infrastructure role Deep expertise in at least one observability domain (metrics, logging, tracing, or APM) Experience with agent configuration and instrumentation tools (New Relic, Datadog, OpenTelemetry, or equivalent) Proven track record of building monitoring and alerting systems Strong systems thinking with an understanding of tradeoffs in architecture decisions
