Customer Service Specialist

Our client, an established distributor serving the LP/propane and natural gas industry, is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to join their team. This role is responsible for handling incoming customer calls, processing orders, and resolving customer inquiries with a focus on responsive, knowledgeable service. The ideal candidate brings industry-related experience and a genuine interest in continuously learning about propane and natural gas products and systems. Job Responsibilities - - Field incoming customer calls, providing accurate order assistance and information in a timely manner. - Investigate and resolve customer concerns by identifying the issue, determining the root cause, and coordinating an appropriate solution through to completion. - Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support satisfaction and repeat business. - Assist customers with product selection and basic troubleshooting for propane and natural gas equipment and appliances. - Generate invoices and related documentation as part of the order process. - Support inventory and order fulfillment needs, including both phone and online order channels. - Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, orders, and account details. - Take on additional tasks and projects as assigned by supervisors. Job Requirements - - Experience in the LP/propane, natural gas, or a related industry such as HVAC/plumbing is required. - Prior experience in a customer service or order support role. - Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. - Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and manage time effectively. - Familiarity with propane system components (tanks, regulators, valves, fittings, hoses, connectors) and related appliances preferred. - Technical experience and aptitude are preferred.
