Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital outpatient setting requiring 3+ years of experience and current CA licensure.

Details

• Outpatient rehabilitation setting within an acute care hospital
• Patient population includes neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general adult patients
• Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No holiday coverage required

Requirements

• 3+ years of physical therapy experience preferred
• Current California PT licensure or certification required, if applicable
• Current BLS certification required
• Strong knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, and physiology
• Knowledge of infection control and sterile techniques as related to rehabilitative equipment
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office applications

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment planning, and reassessment per policy across all age groups
• Coordinates and directs patient care in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers
• Provides patient and family education as part of the treatment plan
• Trains nursing and departmental staff through on-the-job instruction
• Maintains equipment safety, cleanliness, and compliance with departmental inspections
• Participates in continuous quality improvement (CQI) and performance improvement activities
• Adheres to dress code and wears identification badge while on duty
• Open to first-time travelers
