Component Rebuild Technician - Second Shift

Yancey Bros. Co. has an opening for a Component Rebuild Technician. This position will provide power train component repairs, rebuilds, troubleshooting, and testing.

Primary responsibilities include disassembling and assembling components, cleaning and inspecting components, evaluating reusability of component parts, and performing failure analysis based on failed parts, SOS reports, and machine operation.

Additional responsibilities include writing service reports once jobs are completed, keeping the work area clean throughout the process, participating in the required safety program and working in a safe manner, and additional duties as assigned by the manager.

The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:00 am.

To be successful in this position, you should have a mechanical aptitude, be organized, and safely work with caustic materials. You should have basic computer skills, be able to read and follow service material instructions and quotes, and write clear and concise work orders. The ability to multitask and problem solve is essential to this position.

Education/experience: High school or equivalent. Required qualifications/skills include a vocation/technical school certificate, or a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a heavy equipment shop. Must be able to read and understand manuals, such as D&A, special instructions, and service letters. Also, must have general PC operation skills.
