Veterinary Laboratory Technician

In this role Use automated analyzers, microscopes and other laboratory diagnostic tools to perform analyses and tests that diagnose animal illnesses, injuries and diseases in support of veterinarian animal treatment. Perform diagnostic tests on blood, urine, fecal or pet biopsy samples that we receive in our lab by the thousands, every day. Set up and run lab tests, then read and release results according to SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Specialize in an assigned department. What you'll need to succeed High School diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in a Science‑related field is preferred. Experience as a Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, CVT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT or MT) is a plus, though not required. Experience setting up, running, and reading lab tests, and operating laboratory equipment (microscopes, pipetting, and/or clinical diagnostic analyzers). Positive attitude and willingness to bring energy into the lab every day to support colleagues. Team‑oriented mindset and desire to work collaboratively. Attention to detail and ability to work reliably and precisely. Strong sense of team spirit and responsibility. Ability to meet the physical requirements, including standing and sitting for extended periods, phone and computer use, extended reach, lifting up to 50 lb, and specific vision ability. Awareness of potential exposure to biohazards, zoonotic agents, and hazardous chemicals. What you can expect from us Hourly rate targeting $23.25 per hour.
