Ultrasound Technologist
The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound examinations and provides technical assistance. They maintain and care for all ultrasound equipment. The role includes preparing and examining patients for ultrasound examinations according to departmental procedures. They operate and adjust ultrasound equipment while taking necessary safety precautions. They set up, operate, clean, and make minor adjustments to ultrasound equipment. It is important to ensure adequate supplies are available for use. The Ultrasound Technologist assists in orienting and mentoring new personnel. They capture images onto PACS and transfer them to physicians' workstations. Additional responsibilities may include answering telephones, scheduling examinations, and initiating patient transportation.
Minimum 2 years of experience in prostate sono scans. Must have an active license. Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Knowledge of office and administrative practices. Skill in the use of personal computers and software. Ability to problem solve and make decisions. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and discretion.
