Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Ultrasound Technologist-General. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic sonographic examinations utilizing ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent anatomical, pathological and functional data.

Job Responsibilities:

Operates ultrasound equipment to make quality images; performs studies in required modalities. Provides training, guidance to Ultrasound Technology students.

• Perform ultrasound examinations, including portable studies, Emergency Department (ED), and 2nd floor coverage
• Ensure all ultrasound rooms are fully stocked, organized, and properly equipped
• Maintain and monitor the Trophon disinfection system to ensure proper functioning and compliance
• Foster open and effective communication among providers, front desk staff, and sonographers
• Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in all scheduled shifts

Minimum Qualifications:

• Certificate from an approved ultrasound/vascular technology education program.
• Registered or registry eligible to take the Registry exam (ARDMS) within 1 year of hire date. Required Licenses: Am Rgtry Diagn Med Sonographer

Preferred Qualifications: Registered as American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Registered Vascular Technologist.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $60.02 - $67.13 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
