Responsibilities

• Draw quality blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations.
• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of collections.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accuracy.
• Perform phlebotomy duties with confidence and professionalism in both forensic and clinical specimen collection.
• Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the supervision of the area manager.
• Promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.

Required Skills

• Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
• Ability to perform error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service skills in a retail or service environment.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation to and from the worksite without issues.
• Availability to work scheduled hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.

Additional Skills & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred.
• Medical assistant or paramedic training is a plus.
• Must list home city and commute time to work on your resume.
• Candidates should reside within a 20-25 minute commute to the worksite to ensure punctuality and coverage.
