About This Role The Registered Nurse (RN) in Ambulatory Urology at Northwell Health is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Highlights Pay: $68,000 - $115,000/year Location: New York, NY Facility: Northwell Health Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Assess the patient's physiologic health status through interviews and comprehensive health assessments. Evaluate patient's psychosocial health status and identify cultural/ethnic requirements. Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes and establish individualized patient goals. Formulate and document the plan of care in collaboration with healthcare team members. Implement the plan of care while ensuring safety precautions are followed. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families. Collaborate with care team members to plan and carry out treatment regimens. Administer medications correctly and educate patients on drug interactions. Participate in patient and family education, ensuring understanding of care plans. Perform related duties as required. Requirements Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN within five years of job entry date Experience: Experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred Licenses & Certifications: Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required Specialized certifications as needed About Northwell Health Northwell Health is a leading healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
