The Opportunity As a One Medical Float Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant (internally known as Flex Lab Services Specialist/Member Support Specialist) at one of our offices, you will provide an exceptional experience for our patients and help them accomplish an important part of their care journey by providing venipuncture and other clinical support services. You will be an ambassador for patients, mastering human connection and driving service excellence. You will remove barriers to care, ensuring a truly exceptional in‑office experience. As steward of the space, you will maintain a branded look and feel for the office lobby. You will be the first point of contact for patients, and will support the Practice Coordinator, Operations Manager or providers as requested, while supporting multiple offices in a Market. You are a strong team player who uses innovative problem‑solving skills to tackle various tasks and challenges. You combine excellent specimen collection technique with tactful interpersonal skills with patients at the front desk and in the lab. What you’ll likely work on: Use impeccable C‑I‑CARE (a framework for great interaction and effective communication) in all patient interactions, ensuring a fluid and positive in‑office experience through patient intake, same‑day schedule management, appropriate follow‑up scheduling, strong knowledge of billing and insurance, monitoring patient feedback and assisting with outreach as necessary. Provide best‑in‑class venipuncture services to a population ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, depending on office location. Perform and assist with extended scope duties such as non‑blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs and vitals. Maintain high standards of in‑office care through proper specimen labeling, handling and processing; inventory upkeep; and tool sterilization. Answer patient messages, follow up on lab cases and assist providers and the virtual medical team with clerical duties such as biometric screening forms, medical record and consult review, billing inquiries and DOH reporting. Handle all front‑of‑house duties including check‑in/check‑out, insurance verification, printing/paperwork tasks, prep for tests, and tasking to service level expectations. Contribute to team development through rounding, huddles, problem solving, and supporting in‑office providers with ad‑hoc asks. Perform opening and closing duties and daily office upkeep, including maintaining the look and feel of patient and employee spaces, restocking supplies and organization. Master our technology suite (Slack, G‑suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral and our Electronic Medical Record System) to interact with team members and complete daily work. Key Requirements Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience with venipuncture and related laboratory procedures.
