Learning & Development Training Effectiveness Analyst Location: Remote | Greater Southern California / Irwindale, CA Pay: $30-$36/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Hours: 40 hours/week Education: Bachelors degree required About The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Training Effectiveness Analyst to support enterprise-wide training initiatives for a large utility organization. This role focuses on training effectiveness, program evaluation, data analysis, and reporting. You will partner with L&D leaders, subject matter experts, HR, and business stakeholders to measure training outcomes, identify trends and improvement opportunities, and translate data into actionable recommendations. Key Responsibilities Develop training evaluation and measurement plans Measure training effectiveness and program outcomes Analyze quantitative and qualitative training data Identify trends, performance gaps, strengths, and improvement opportunities Design surveys, questionnaires, assessments, and participant feedback tools Establish success measures and evaluation methodologies Create reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership Develop data visualizations using Excel and Power BI Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations Present findings and recommendations to leaders and stakeholders Support training initiatives across multiple business organizations Work independently while collaborating with L&D, HR, SMEs, and business stakeholders Required Qualifications Bachelors degree 3-5+ years of Learning & Development or training experience Experience measuring training effectiveness and program outcomes Experience developing training evaluation plans and methodologies Strong data analysis and reporting skills Experience designing surveys, questionnaires, or assessments Strong Excel skills, including: Pivot tables Formulas Data tables Data filtering Analysis of large datasets Charts and data visualization Experience creating presentations in PowerPoint Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience presenting findings to business stakeholders Ability to independently analyze data and provide actionable recommendations Preferred Qualifications Experience with the Kirkpatrick Model or comparable training evaluation methodology Power BI dashboard development experience Experience with Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Alchemer, or similar survey platforms Experience with SuccessFactors Learning or another Learning Management System Instructional design or training program management experience Specific survey platform experience is less important than a strong understanding of survey design and evaluation principles. Candidates must reside in the Greater Southern California area and be available for occasional onsite meetings in Irwindale, CA. Candidates must be comfortable using their own device to access the organization's secure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
