Strategic Cost Reduction Buyer

A manufacturer of commercial ice machines, ice dispensers, and medical-grade refrigeration systems is looking to hire a Strategic Cost Reduction Buyer based out of either Denver, CO or Easton, PA
Work model: on-site 5 days per week
Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 Base Salary
Responsibilities:
- Lead strategic sourcing and cost reduction initiatives across direct materials, indirect spend, logistics, and operational services.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that improve cost, quality, delivery, and service performance.
- Negotiate supplier agreements, annual contracts, pricing structures, rebates, and service-level agreements to drive measurable savings.
- Identify and implement alternate sourcing opportunities, supplier rationalization initiatives, and value engineering projects.
- Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular business reviews focused on performance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
- Analyze spend data and market trends to uncover cost-saving opportunities and support sourcing decisions.Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Logistics, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to execute savings initiatives and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
- Drive logistics optimization projects related to inbound and outbound transportation, freight spend, customer fill rates, and on-time delivery performance.
- Monitor and report cost savings results, ensuring projects are tracked, documented, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Utilize data analytics to support sourcing decisions, identify opportunities, and measure procurement performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
- 5+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
- Experience managing both direct and indirect procurement categories .
- Demonstrated success leading cost reduction projects with quantifiable results.
- Strong negotiation and contract management experience, including annual supplier agreements and commercial negotiations.
- Experience evaluating supplier markets, sourcing alternatives, and driving supplier performance improvements.
- Knowledge of logistics, transportation, freight optimization, and supply chain analytics.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to leverage data to drive business decisions.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
