This role will play a key part in managing the company's accounting operations while gaining exposure to financial leadership, strategic planning, and advanced financial reporting.The ideal candidate is a strong technical accountant who wants to expand their skill set beyond transactional accounting into financial leadership, business partnership, and strategic decision support.This role works closely with company leadership and will gradually take on responsibilities that prepare them for advancement into a Controller position.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & AccountingPrepare and review monthly financial statements and supporting schedulesAssist with month-end and year-end close processesMaintain accuracy of the general ledger and account reconciliationsSupport cost accounting and inventory accounting for manufacturing operationsAnalyze financial results and identify trends, risks, and opportunitiesFinancial Analysis & Process ImprovementAssist in developing financial dashboards and performance metricsSupport budgeting and forecasting activitiesPerform variance analysis and provide insights to leadershipIdentify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiencyCompliance & ControlsAssist in maintaining strong internal controls and accounting proceduresSupport preparation for audits and tax filingsEnsure compliance with GAAP and company policiesStrategic Exposure & DevelopmentWork directly with leadership on financial reporting and analysisParticipate in capital expenditure analysis and operational financial supportGain experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planningAssist with projects related to financial systems, reporting improvements, and operational performance
