Floral Associate – St. Peter's Hospital – Part-Time Days Position Summary Prepares a variety of floral arrangements to stock the Gift Shop. Provides special floral orders as needed. Trains volunteer flower aides to supplement and support the flower program as available. Employment Type Part time. Shift Day Shift. Provides accurate information regarding the purchase of flowers and supplies, assuming this responsibility when necessary. Provides floral arrangements appropriate for the season and for customer demand. Understands instructions for assigned tasks and completes them on a timely basis. Maintains routine floral inventory. Organizes floral supplies. Stocks basic flower supplies – provides accurate inventory of supplies. Cleans all work materials – tools, vases, work area. Assists in gift shop as needed. Trains volunteer Flower Aides to supplement and support the flower program when necessary. Provides verbal instructions. Assists with hands‑on training classes. Provides information to enhance the technique of Flower Aides. Provides special orders as requested. Can create new types of arrangements based on customer's specific desires. Can fill large orders in a timely manner. Can work without direct supervision. Education Requirements High School Diploma. Two‑year degree in floral culture preferred. Experience Requirements Demonstrated floral arranging skills in both fresh and silk flowers. Pay Range $16.20 – $19.74 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
