Leveraging Ericsson’s proven leadership in cellular, our long-term goal is to become the default choice and trusted partner for any organization’s wireless network infrastructure – with cellular as the entry point and zero trust security as a norm.## About This Opportunity:BEWS is looking for an executive who has built and led commercial organizations at scale — and is ready to do it again at a pivotal moment in our growth journey.This is a newly scoped, expanded role that reflects both the commercial ambition and strategic horizon of where BEWS is headed. Head of Strategy, Commercial Management and Business Development will report directly to the SVP and Head of BEWS, with full accountability for long term business strategy, commercial management, and business development.This is not a role for someone who manages commercial activity. This is a role for an executive who shapes where the business goes — and builds the commercial engine to get it there.This leader will define how BEWS competes, grows, and wins — bringing coherence and velocity to how we pursue, price, negotiate, and close complex enterprise opportunities, while opening the doors to new customers, partners, and markets that accelerate our next phase of growth## What You Will Do## Strategy* Define and lead the business strategy for BEWS, translating market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and portfolio positioning into a clear and executable roadmap* Understand strategic priorities across geographies, customer segments, and product lines — and align commercial and business development efforts accordingly* Lead strategic planning cycles in partnership with the SVP and cross-functional leadership, ensuring the business is always positioned ahead of market shifts* Evaluate and recommend strategic options — including market entry, partnerships, portfolio evolution, and investment priorities — that strengthen BEWS's competitive position## Commercial Leadership* Own the end-to-end commercial strategy for BEWS, including deal structure, pricing frameworks, contract governance, and terms management across all regions* Partner with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Product to ensure commercial decisions are aligned with business priorities and risk appetite* Establish commercial policies, approval frameworks, and guardrails that enable speed without sacrificing margin or compliance* Lead commercial reviews of strategic and high-value deals, providing guidance and escalation support to regional teams* Drive commercial performance visibility — tracking win rates, deal health, margin trends, and contract outcomes across the business## Business Development* Define and execute a business development strategy that expands BEWS's customer base, partner ecosystem, and addressable market* Identify and pursue strategic partnerships, channel opportunities, and market adjacencies aligned with BEWS's portfolio* Build and maintain executive-level relationships with key customers, industry partners, and channel stakeholders* Lead or support responses to strategic RFPs, large-scale bids, and competitive pursuits that require executive commercial engagement* Represent BEWS externally at industry forums, customer engagements, and partner events## Executive Partnership* Serve as a trusted advisor to the SVP and Head of BEWS on strategic direction, commercial risks, and growth opportunities* Prepare and present strategy reviews, commercial performance readouts, and business development pipeline updates for senior leadership and the broader Ericsson group* Translate complex commercial and market data into clear, executive-ready narratives that inform decisions at the highest levels of the organization## The Skills You Bring* 12+ years of progressive leadership across strategy, commercial management, and business development — including at least 5 years in a P&L-owning or executive-level role in the technology industry* Demonstrated ability to develop and execute business strategy in a complex, fast-moving enterprise technology environment* Deep expertise in complex deal structuring, contract negotiation, and commercial risk management* Proven track record of building and scaling business development functions — opening new markets, closing strategic partnerships, and driving measurable revenue impact* Experience leading strategic planning processes and translating strategy into operational priorities and resource decisions* Ability to operate across a globally matrixed organization, influencing without direct authority and aligning diverse stakeholders across functions and regions* Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex strategy and commercial insight clearly and credibly to senior leadership, boards, and external partners* High commercial acumen paired with financial literacy — comfortable owning margin, cost of sale, and deal ROI conversations**Why join Ericsson?**At Ericsson, you ́ll have an outstanding opportunity. We offer a competitive package to help with your individual needs and goals.**Your Pay**The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.The salary range for this position is $320,000 to $400,000.**Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan****:** Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply.**Your Health**Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions offers excellent, competitive employee benefits, such as: subsidized, nationwide PPO medical benefit options including a low-deductible Point of Service Plan and a qualifying High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP), with a generous company-provided HSA contribution. For California employees, we offer a subsidized HMO option through Kaiser. Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions also offers subsidized dental and vision coverage.**Your Financial Security**We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. Our 401(k) plan has a 4% company match and immediate vesting. Employees will also receive company-paid employee basic life and AD&D insurance and company-paid disability benefits.**Your Time**Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.**Additional Benefits**Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions offers other company-paid benefits such as a comprehensive Employee Assistance Program, mobile therapy, and volunteer paid time off.
