Travel Physical Therapist - $1,889 per week

Job Overview Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Norcross, Georgia. Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history to identify functional limitations and treatment needs. Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals. Implement physical therapy treatment plans using a variety of techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain. Operate specialized physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively, ensuring proper maintenance and calibration. Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record. Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize treatment outcomes. Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self‑management techniques. Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines. Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices. Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice. Required Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Preferred Qualifications Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Experience in clinical physical therapy; new graduates are welcome to apply. Additional certifications or licenses as may be required. Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication. Proficient in written and verbal English. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and basic PC skills. Physical abilities: remaining stationary, moving about, moving equipment (50‑100 lbs), pushing, pulling, bending. Interpersonal skills: collaborate effectively with diverse personnel, maintain a positive attitude. Technical/motor skills: fine manipulation, task assistance with departmental equipment. Mental requirements: cope with frequent public contact, meet deadlines under pressure, handle irregular schedules, maintain concentration on details.
