Job Summary: The CDL Driver (A) - Yard position requires a qualified individual to move trailers and equipment throughout the facility, conduct inspections of equipment, report defects to dispatch or supervisors, and operate yard and material handling equipment in a dirty, wet, and noisy environment in all weather conditions. Duties and Responsibilities: Operate yard trucks and equipment safely during procedures involving both loaded and empty containers Transfer and reposition trailers within the yard and designated areas Assist with staging and organizing trailers for loading and unloading Complete necessary paperwork including trailer numbers, weights, and material type Inspect equipment before and after use and report any issues to dispatch or supervisor Assist in loading and unloading tasks as needed Back trailers into designated areas for efficient operations Collaborate with team members to maintain smooth yard operations Adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times Maintain yard equipment in good working condition Skills and Abilities: Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Reliable and cooperative team member Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and dirty conditions Ability to safely operate yard equipment in a fast-paced environmentAbility to learn trailer positioning and backing techniques Willingness to be trained and certified to operate a forklift Education and Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant yard, warehouse, or industrial experience Prior experience in tire recycling or manufacturing is a plus Ability to learn and operate yard trucks and equipment safely 401(k) Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance EEO Statement: Liberty Tire Recycling is an equal opportunity employer.
