Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Cath Lab/EP environment, ensuring effective treatment and patient safety. Supervises and coordinates activities of nursing staff while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient condition and gather relevant health data prior to procedures.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology procedures.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond swiftly to any changes during interventions.
• Educate patients and families about procedures, post-care instructions, and health management.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
• Oversee the supervision and delegation of tasks to nursing team members to maintain quality care standards.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.
• Complete Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent certification.
• Demonstrate at least two years of recent nursing experience in a cardiac catheterization or electrophysiology setting.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Exhibit strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
