Thank you for considering the following position in your job search! We are currently seeking an experienced Operations Support Specialist for a credit union located in Los Angeles, CA ! Type: Full-time, temporary (2 months with possible extension) Pay: $25.00-$27.00/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm Responsibilities: Handles member-submitted wire transfer requests received by email or fax, following all credit union policies and procedures Opens new member accounts submitted online, by fax, and by mail; audits a sample of newly opened accounts for policy exceptions; manages account inquiries, address updates, closures, and other maintenance requests Manages incoming IRA-related requests - contributions, withdrawals, rollovers, transfers, conversions, excess contribution corrections, and account adjustments - submitted via fax, mail, or email Establishes and maintains Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) schedules for eligible members Fields a range of member service requests by fax, mail, and email, including merchant authorization releases, ATM hold releases, card limit adjustments, ACH and transfer requests, deposit verifications, stop payments, travel alerts, card reorders, escheatment updates, payroll deduction setup, and certificate maturity notices Reviews system-generated reports covering IRA and credit card address changes, stop payments, pending accounts, captured cards, and upcoming share maturities Accurately processes routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing Enters returned mail into the core banking system and scans account/membership documentation into the imaging platform Stays current on regulatory, legal, competitive, and technology changes affecting specialized account offerings Takes on additional related tasks as needed Requirements: 2 years of financial operations experience within a credit union or bank required Working knowledge of Regulation E, NACHA operating rules, wire transfer requirements, Red Flag/ID theft rules, the USA PATRIOT Act, and IRA regulations Strong interpersonal and customer service skills Well-organized with strong attention to detail #J-18808-Ljbffr
