Job Description

As a Medical Assembler in the research and development department, you will assemble complex medical devices used in diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will contribute to next‑generation solutions for vascular access, electrophysiology and cardiac rhythm management, neurovascular, structural heart, and broader cardiovascular applications, ensuring products meet rigorous quality and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble medical devices and catheter-based products according to detailed work instructions and engineering specifications.
• Work in a cleanroom environment, following strict cleanliness, contamination control, and safety protocols at all times.
• Use a microscope extensively to perform precise, small‑component assembly, inspection, and verification of parts and finished devices.
• Handle and assemble components for diagnostic and interventional procedures across vascular access, electrophysiology, cardiac rhythm management, neurovascular, structural heart, and cardiovascular product lines.
• Maintain high attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks to ensure consistent product quality and reliability.
• Follow production and R&D processes, documenting work as required to support testing, validation, and continuous improvement activities.
• Collaborate with team members and R&D staff to support the development and refinement of new medical device assemblies.
• Adhere to all quality standards and internal procedures to ensure products meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Demonstrate reliability by arriving on time, meeting production expectations, and completing assigned tasks as scheduled.
• Identify and communicate any issues with components, tools, or processes to appropriate personnel to help maintain a smooth workflow.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical device assembly.
• Hands-on experience working in a cleanroom environment.
• Proficiency using a microscope for assembly and inspection, including the ability to use it for extended periods (up to most of the workday when required).
• Experience in medical assembly, including catheters or similar medical products.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions and procedures.
• Demonstrated reliability and consistency in attendance and performance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in production or R&D settings within the medical device industry.
• Familiarity with assembling catheter-based or minimally invasive devices.
• Comfort working with small parts and fine motor tasks under magnification.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Openness to feedback and continuous improvement in a high-performing environment.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand-new, modern facility in Brooklyn Park featuring spacious, well-designed cleanrooms dedicated to medical device assembly. The environment is controlled, organized, and focused on quality, with extensive use of microscopes and other precision tools. An onsite gym is available for use, offering a convenient way to stay active before or after your shift or during breaks. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brooklyn Park, MN.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
