Materials Lead

Job Summary As a Materials Coordinator, you will develop and execute material plans to support production schedules, maintain inventory levels, and ensure production schedules reflect current customer demand. You will also lead material handlers and fill in for the Material Supervisor as needed. Responsibilities Inventory and Material Management: place purchase orders in SAP, coordinate shipping and receiving activities, drive inventory accuracy through cycle counts, and monitor material flow through production. Direct Material Handler activities to ensure smooth operations. Maintain the production schedule to ensure timely workflow. Assist with other duties as assigned to support overall production and logistics efficiency. Required Experience & Skills 5‑7 years of relative work experience. Strong communication and computer skills. Ideal Experience & Skills Previous experience with inventory management practices and procedures. Ability to direct hourly employees in their daily activities and establish priorities. Previous experience with SAP or other MRP systems. Education & Certifications High school diploma or GED required; 5‑7 years of relative experience or a college degree in a related field acceptable. On‑site manufacturing plant environment, with exposure to weather extremes and noise. Lifting up to 50 pounds; 50+ pounds with assistance. Sitting, standing, walking, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, crawling, climbing, twisting, reaching, working at heights, and using a ladder as required.
