Schmieding’s Transportation & Logistics department is an in-house team that moves over 20,000 loads annually, partnering with reliable carriers to ensure on-time delivery at competitive costs. Role Description The Logistics Account Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Northwest Arkansas. This position is responsible for managing transportation accounts, coordinating freight movements, and ensuring timely, cost-effective delivery of fresh produce across the United States. Daily activities include building and maintaining carrier and customer relationships, negotiating rates, monitoring shipments, resolving delivery issues, and updating stakeholders on load status. The role also involves sourcing new carrier and customer partnerships, analyzing lane performance, and collaborating with internal teams to optimize logistics efficiency and service levels. The Logistics Account Executive is expected to work closely with the Schmieding Transportation & Logistics department to support growth and maintain high standards of reliability and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Freight Brokerage and logistics coordination, including rate negotiation and carrier sourcing. Candidates should possess skills in Account Management and New Business Development to grow and maintain customer and carrier relationships. Candidates should possess strong Communication and Customer Service skills to provide clear updates and professional support to partners and clients. Relevant experience in transportation, supply chain, or logistics within produce or food distribution is beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Northwest Arkansas, manage multiple priorities, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with transportation management systems, spreadsheets, and general computer applications is preferred.
