Williamsport Health & Rehabilitation Center in Williamsport, MD is seeking a qualified candidate to join our team as a Maintenance Assistant. working Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with an on-call rotation.

As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll help us achieve our mission of providing Care Beyond Compare by helping ensure our healthcare center is safe, well-maintained, and ready to serve our patients and residents. Your primary role will be to perform the duties of the maintenance department to ensure the facility is kept in good repair and all systems are in compliance with applicable safety and fire regulations as well as federal, state, and local building codes.

What You'll Do

• Complete general facility maintenance tasks including plumbing, carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.

• Ensure preventative maintenance is routinely performed on all equipment / systems.

• Ensure work orders are properly prioritized and completed in a timely manner.

• Assist with regular inspections of the facility and equipment to identify any issues or potential problems.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and minimize downtime.

• Help ensure the facility remains in compliance with all Department of Health and Life Safety Code requirements as well as any federal, state, and local regulations.

• Respond to facility fire and disaster situations immediately and assist per emergency plans.

• Maintain accurate and complete records of maintenance activities including work orders, repairs, and inspections.

• Other duties necessary to ensure the safe operation of the healthcare center. 

What You Need

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Basic computer skills (e-mail, electronic ordering, work order tracking, etc.)

• Highly organized and detail oriented.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet emergency requirements.
