Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our growing outpatient rehabilitation team in Rutland, Vermont. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to help patients achieve their rehabilitation and wellness goals. New graduates are encouraged to apply, and mentorship will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by licensed Physical Therapists.
• Provide direct patient care and assist patients with therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation programs.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to supervising Physical Therapists.
• Accurately document treatment sessions and patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on home exercise programs and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with Physical Therapists and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain a safe, professional, and patient-centered treatment environment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Vermont PTA license or eligibility for Vermont licensure.
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles, rehabilitation techniques, and therapeutic exercises.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to follow treatment plans and accurately document patient progress.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Previous experience in an outpatient clinic, rehabilitation center, or similar healthcare setting preferred.
