Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care is a state of the art referral hospital currently seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our Physical Rehabilitation team .
- In-patient/out-patient rehab
- Home exercise programs
- Weight loss management

- Therapeutic exercises
- Therapeutic ultrasound
- & A wide range of exercise equipment.
Schedule: 10 hour shift Day shift Experience: Veterinary experience: 1 year (Preferred)
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:- Gentle handling of patients & restraining
- Assisting with physical rehabilitation treatments,
- Maintaining rehabilitation equipment
- Cleaning, laundry and basic clinic up keep
- Medication administration & filling prescriptions
- Assisting our Technicians and our Veterinarian as needed
- Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Preferred have at least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience
- Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It’s okay if you talk to animals, too!)
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds
- Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
