Job Title: Machine Operator 1
Work Location: Mebane, NC 27302
Pay Rate: $20.50/hr on W2
Schedule Time: 3rd Shift (Nights); Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (40 hours per week).
Must be able to work overtime as required to meet business requirements.
Position Summary:
- Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine manufacturing tasks consisting of prescribed steps within an operational process area.
- Works within clearly defined Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adheres to strict quality guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Works with a high degree of supervision, maintaining a safe and clean work environment according to housekeeping and safety policies.
Responsibilities:
- Pull raw material for orders and feed raw material onto the production line.
- Perform machine set-up and start-up tasks, clear common machine faults, perform a few controls and adjustments for machine settings, and execute shut-down tasks.
- Manually package kits and perform in-process quality checks (testing/inspecting parts).
- Accurately complete paperwork and document actions in established procedures.
- Perform cleaning functions and offer input for Standard Operating Procedures.
- Train others as needed and effectively communicate across the department in a team setting.
Required Skills and Competencies:
- Language & Math : Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency with Personal Computers (PCs) and basic use of a Windows environment is required.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to work on assignments that are semi-routine in nature, recognizing any deviations from specifications.
Education and Experience:
- High school degree is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience.
Additional Information:
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods of time, perform repetitive motions, and consistently lift up to 40 lbs.
