Job TitleGeologist (Flex Staff)GroupFSI ENT WFT FieldEmployment TypeTemporaryJob Site LocationUnited States - NationwideResponsibilitiesPlan and conduct geologic and environmental investigationsConduct drilling and logging for moderate to highly complex projectsLog soil/rock cores and prepare boring logs per ASTM/USCS standardsCollect and manage environmental and geotechnical samples for laboratory analysisInstall and maintain groundwater monitoring wells/instrumentationPrepare technical field notes, logs, and support documentation.Attend progress meetings.Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree.5 years of relevant experience.Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a college degree.Preferred QualificationsPG (Professional Geologist) License.Knowledge of Unified Soil Classification System for logging soils.40-hour OSHA Hazwoper certification with 8-hour annual refresher training which is up to date.8-hour supervisory training.30-hour OSHA Construction Industry safety class.Current CPR/FA/AED certification.Skills and AbilitiesMust be a U.S. citizen.Able to pass a federal background check.Able to pass a medical examination.Ability to work in the field which can include long periods of standing, walking or sitting.Proficient in soil/rock logging, boring logs, and well installations.Knowledge of OSHA/HAZWOPER and environmental standards.Strong technical writing, problem-solving, and GIS/software skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks.Federal project experience is highly desirable.Strong organizational skills to balance and prioritize work.Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.Strong writing and oral communication skills to work with military clients, contractors, and government teams.Good interpersonal skills to cultivate relationships with colleagues, customers, and partners.Ability to work independently in field settings under limited supervision.EEO StatementWe attract the best people in the industry, supporting their efforts to learn and grow.
