Work Environment

This position is conducted onsite in a home care setting, where you will frequently travel to patients' residences in the San Diego area. Our home care approach allows you to form meaningful connections with patients in a familiar environment, enhancing the therapeutic experience. You'll work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM , ensuring a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed evaluations to assess patients' physical limitations and functional impairments, focusing on musculoskeletal issues.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that are aligned with patients' personal goals, utilizing varied interventions such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities like heat and ice.
• Employ advanced manual therapy techniques, including soft tissue mobilization and joint mobilizations, to alleviate pain and enhance range of motion.
• Guide and instruct patients in executing specific exercise regimens aimed at improving strength, flexibility, and overall coordination.
• Document and maintain comprehensive patient records, including evaluations, treatment progress, and discharge summaries, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will focus on a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgeries, accidents, and chronic conditions. You will work closely with patients experiencing mobility challenges, ensuring they receive compassionate, personalized care tailored to their unique circumstances. Your expertise will help enhance their recovery process and promote independence in daily activities.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapist License in the State of California is mandatory.
• Certification as a National Provider Identifier is required.
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program culminating in a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Strong manual therapy skills and clinical reasoning capabilities are essential.
• Excellent communication and educational abilities to engage patients effectively and enhance their understanding of treatment plans.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of physical therapy.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in private practice or outpatient orthopedics.

Compensation and Benefits
