Full-Time Outpatient Physical Therapist for Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Baker's Field Therapy Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team in Chula Vista, California. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, guiding them on a personalized journey towards regained mobility and improved performance. Our practice is focused primarily on outpatient orthopedic therapy, serving a diverse client base with private health insurance. Work Environment

Our Chula Vista rehabilitation center provides a dynamic and collaborative environment. You will be joining a dedicated team of two fellow physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all working in tandem to support patient needs. The facility is designed to foster an engaging and motivating atmosphere where therapists and patients can connect to promote healing and rehabilitation. Your typical work schedule will be from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions to identify needs and develop tailored rehabilitation plans.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities aimed at restoring function and mobility.
• Maintain a patient load, providing individualized attention to each patient for one hour per session, ensuring optimal care delivery.
• Develop and implement comprehensive fitness and wellness programs that cater to the unique requirements of each patient, focusing on enhancing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Document all services provided and maintain clear, organized records in compliance with regulatory standards and our internal EMR system, including WebPT.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to refine treatment approaches and optimize patient care.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure continual improvement.
• Engage and motivate patients throughout their treatment to maximize engagement and encourage a proactive approach to health and recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your caseload will largely consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. You will work with a variety of patients, including athletes aiming to return to peak performance and individuals recovering from major surgical procedures. Each patient presents a unique challenge, and your role will be critical in enabling their return to optimal physical function.

Qualifications

• Hold an active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in California, free from any board actions or disciplinary infractions.
• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrate expertise in manual therapy techniques and the development of customized exercise programs.
• Proficient in the use of electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly experience with WebPT is highly preferred.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years' experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation is preferred, demonstrating a proven track record of helping patients recover and improve mobility.
• Experience with sports medicine and working with active populations is advantageous for this role.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 125,000 annually, supplemented with a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, continuing education opportunities, and paid time off.
