Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our team in Chula Vista, California. This full-time position is pivotal in helping our patients regain their mobility and achieve their personal best through effective rehabilitation. The Physical Therapist will work closely with each patient, creating individualized care plans designed to promote recovery and enhance overall well-being.

Work Environment

The role is based in our bustling rehabilitation center, dedicated to orthopedic outpatient therapy. The setting fosters collaboration, as you will be part of a committed team that includes two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our work schedule runs Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, offering a structured environment while ensuring a balance of work and life.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' conditions and identify their goals, ensuring personalized treatment plans are developed.
• Provide direct patient care, treating 2-3 patients every hour, managing a diverse range of orthopedic conditions.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy skills and exercise techniques to improve patients' mobility and function.
• Design and implement cost-effective therapeutic interventions that help alleviate pain, reduce reliance on medications, and serve as alternatives to surgery.
• Monitor and document each patient's progress, adapting care plans as necessary in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients about their conditions and motivate them through supportive and encouraging interactions.
• Promote a healthy lifestyle through tailored wellness and fitness programs that foster improvement in strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will work with are primarily individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, athletic injuries, and post-operative rehabilitation. Our clinic fosters a supportive atmosphere where patients are encouraged to actively participate in their recovery journey. By focusing on personalized treatment plans, you will play a crucial role in enhancing life quality and functional outcomes for our clientele.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Valid Physical Therapist License in the state of California with no board actions or disciplinary actions.
• Excellent manual therapy skills are mandatory.
• Demonstrated proficiency in exercise techniques and patient education.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) software, preferably WebPT.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is required, experience in orthopedic outpatient therapy will significantly enhance your application. Candidates with proven success in treatment protocols that emphasize patient-centered care and the latest therapeutic techniques will be favored.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 100,000 and 120,000, dependent on experience and qualifications.
