West Side Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT) to join our dynamic rehabilitation team in San Diego, California. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in assisting patients on their journey to regain functional mobility and improve their quality of life. You will employ various assessment techniques, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and deliver personalized care to meet the unique needs of each patient.

Work Environment

This position is onsite at our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility, equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies. Our work environment promotes a hands-on approach to patient care, encouraging therapists to consistently engage with patients one-on-one. You will work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life integration while meeting the growing demand for our services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and set achievable rehabilitation goals.
• Implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on improving patients' motion, strength, and overall functionality.
• Maintain a manageable patient load of one patient per hour, ensuring high-quality and customized care.
• Utilize evidence-based practices to offer effective, cost-efficient treatments that promote recovery and minimize reliance on medications.
• Explore and promote non-surgical intervention strategies as alternatives to enhance patient health outcomes.
• Design and adapt fitness and wellness programs specifically tailored to each patient's goals and lifestyle.
• Continuously motivate, educate, and support patients through their rehabilitation journey to optimize their performance and independence.
• Collaborate with fellow healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and ensure comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Monitor patient progress and document treatment effects, maintaining accurate records of service provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve orthopedic patients recovering from various musculoskeletal injuries, surgeries, and chronic pain conditions. You will cater to a diverse clientele ranging from young athletes to older adults seeking to regain mobility and improve their quality of life. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active California state licensure as a Physical Therapist with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing effective exercise regimens.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, for efficient documentation and care management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy is highly desirable.
• A strong background in patient evaluation and development of targeted rehabilitation strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

The Physical Therapist position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 125,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
