Physio Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Outpatient Physical Therapist to join our vibrant team situated in San Diego, California. In this full-time position, you will be a crucial partner in our patients' journeys to restore motion and enhance their overall quality of life. With a focus on ensuring each client operates at their personal best, you will engage in treatment that encompasses promotion, prevention, diagnosis, intervention, and rehabilitation.

Work Environment

Your work setting will be onsite at our modern outpatient office in beautiful San Diego. Here, you will find a collaborative atmosphere with a team of two other physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant. The environment is both supportive and dynamic, encouraging professional growth and effective patient care. The operating hours are Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify and meet the specific goals and needs of each patient.
• Manage a caseload of 2-3 patients per hour, providing individualized treatment plans aimed at improving mobility and function.
• Implement cost-effective treatment programs that enhance clients' motion capabilities while reducing reliance on medications and surgery.
• Develop and adapt care plans through a variety of treatment techniques, ensuring personalized and evidence-based interventions.
• Create wellness and fitness-oriented programs tailored to patients' lifestyle needs and rehabilitation goals.
• Motivate patients during therapy sessions, encouraging them to develop optimal strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness, track patient progress, and communicate updates within the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working with a diverse range of patients primarily dealing with orthopedic conditions. This includes individuals recovering from surgery, athletes seeking rehabilitation post-injury, and those managing chronic pain conditions. The goal is to empower each patient by restoring function and promoting a healthier lifestyle through evidence-based therapies.

Qualifications

• Current Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist License in the state of California.
• No prior board actions or disciplinary issues associated with your license.
• Excellent manual therapy skills and proficiency in exercise prescription are essential.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is required.
• Proven track record of effectively managing a diverse patient caseload.
• Experience utilizing evidence-based approaches in treatment plans.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
