Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of San Diego, our outpatient office provides a collaborative and supportive work environment. As part of a team that includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will engage in a unique practice culture that emphasizes teamwork and professionalism. The clinic is equipped with advanced rehabilitation technology and resources to ensure you can provide the highest level of care. You will work on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to identify the specific needs and objectives of each patient.
• Manage a caseload averaging one patient per hour, ensuring efficient delivery of care without compromising quality.
• Design and implement comprehensive treatment plans that focus on enhancing mobility, strength, and function.
• Utilize a variety of techniques, including manual therapy and therapeutic exercises, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their therapy sessions, fostering a positive and empowering atmosphere.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as orthopedic surgeons and primary care physicians, to coordinate holistic patient care.
• Monitor and assess patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary, and documenting all services provided meticulously.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves active adults and athletes seeking rehabilitation from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, and chronic pain management. You will play an essential role in their recovery journeys, designing interventions that not only alleviate immediate pain but also encourage long-term health and fitness. We pride ourselves on providing personalized care that respects each patient's individual pace and goals, ensuring they are not just treated but also educated and empowered throughout their recovery process.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required to ensure a robust foundation in clinical practice.
• Current licensing as a Physical Therapist in California.
• A clean record with no disciplinary actions or board actions related to your physical therapy license.
• Strong ability in developing and executing individualized exercise programs tailored to diverse patient needs.
• Familiarity with EMR software, particularly WebPT, to ensure accurate and efficient patient records management.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a physical therapy setting, specifically focusing on orthopedic rehabilitation and outpatient care.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques that enhance treatment outcomes.
• Experience collaborating within interdisciplinary teams to promote integrated patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
