Work Environment

This role is based onsite in our rehabilitation center, where you will work alongside a closely-knit team consisting of two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to identify their needs, goals, and functional limitations.
• Manage a 1:1 patient caseload, dedicating individualized care to each client on an hourly basis.
• Design and implement tailored treatment plans that employ various manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols to improve patients' mobility.
• Provide evidence-based treatment approaches that encourage optimal recovery while reducing the reliance on medications and invasive procedures.
• Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, maintaining clear communication with patients and their families regarding treatment outcomes and goals.
• Enhance overall wellness by designing customized fitness and wellness programs focused on building strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.
• Engage in ongoing dialogue with other healthcare professionals within the facility to ensure comprehensive and cohesive patient care.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all patient care services using electronic medical records (EMR) software, especially WebPT.
• Provide motivation and support to patients, fostering a positive environment that encourages adherence to their prescribed rehabilitation regimens.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center specializes in treating patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and general musculoskeletal conditions. You will work predominantly with adults, including athletes and active individuals, who seek to restore their functionality and quality of life through targeted therapeutic interventions. By tailoring your approach to suit the unique needs of each patient, you will play a significant role in their recovery and overall health.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Current and valid California license as a Physical Therapist.
• Evidence of a clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Proficient in manual therapy techniques, with a strong background in orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective exercise and treatment protocols.
• Experience using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with diverse therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practice.

Compensation and Benefits
