Our 5,000 square-foot sports medicine center is designed to provide a comprehensive approach to physical therapy, utilizing advanced technology and evidence-based practices. We pride ourselves on our ability to foster a supportive and results-oriented environment, catering primarily to patients with private medical insurance, thus ensuring a high level of personal care and attention.

Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of San Diego, our onsite rehabilitation center offers a collaborative atmosphere where skilled professionals work side by side. You will be part of a dynamic team comprised of two physical therapists and one Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), all committed to delivering exceptional patient care. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while providing ample time to focus on patient rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to establish individualized care plans for each patient, clearly identifying their goals and needs.
• Manage a patient load of one patient per hour, providing focused and efficient treatment in a high-quality environment.
• Implement diverse treatment modalities and exercises tailored to each patient's unique conditions, utilizing your expertise in manual therapy and exercise programming.
• Regularly assess and document treatment progress, ensuring meticulous records are maintained on EMR platforms like WebPT.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare team members to optimize patient care, contributing to discussions aimed at improving treatment strategies.
• Educate patients on injury prevention techniques, promoting a lifestyle that supports recovery and health improvement.
• Encourage patient motivation and adherence to treatment plans, aligning with their personal rehabilitation goals.
• Develop and facilitate wellness programs focused on increasing strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination, thereby enhancing overall physical health.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their treatment process and progress, establishing trust and rapport.
• Minimize reliance on medications through effective treatment solutions, advocating for non-invasive options whenever possible.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on patients in an orthopedic outpatient setting, enabling individuals recovering from injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions to regain their optimal physical abilities. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required, reflecting a solid foundational knowledge of physical therapy principles.
• Must hold a valid California Physical Therapist license, with a clear record free of disciplinary actions.
• Proven proficiency in manual therapy techniques and conducting exercise regimens is essential.
• Competence in utilizing electronic medical record systems like WebPT to track and manage patient documentation and progress.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable, providing you familiarity with common patient conditions and treatment protocols.
• Knowledge of contemporary treatment methodologies and willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, which reflects your experience and expertise in the field.
