Work Environment

This Physical Therapist position is based onsite in our Chula Vista outpatient office. Here, you will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a strong work-life balance while serving a diverse patient population. You will collaborate with a team of two other physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), sharing knowledge, techniques, and treatment strategies to enhance the overall effectiveness of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' functional abilities and therapeutic needs in a healthcare setting.
• Manage a caseload with efficiency, typically seeing one patient per hour to provide focused and tailored treatment plans.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques to develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs.
• Adopt a holistic approach to patient care, offering alternative solutions to surgical interventions while minimizing the reliance on medication.
• Document all patient interactions thoroughly, ensuring clear communication of progress and treatment effectiveness.
• Motivate and encourage patients throughout their treatment journey, amplifying their engagement and commitment to recovery.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, discussing treatment plans and patient outcomes regularly.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on individuals suffering from orthopedic issues, including post-operative patients seeking rehabilitation, athletes recovering from injuries, and individuals with chronic conditions seeking to regain mobility. This clientele requires a custom approach, emphasizing wellness, strength, flexibility, and coordination.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist is mandatory.
• Strong background in orthopedic physical therapy and demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques.
• Competence in developing structured exercise regimens that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Preferred Experience

• Experience navigating electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically with platforms such as WebPT.
• Prior hands-on experience working in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Proven history of delivering evidence-based interventions that ensure quality treatment outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits
